The photographs in our Current Exhibition are very rare vintage prints done by Brassai as a picture story on the Ballet School of the Paris Opera. Brassai himself wrote the text for the article as well as taking the photographs which appeared in Point de Vue, Images du Monde magazine, April 9, 1953. The work is also dated 1953.

The photographs are of the principal dancers of the Opera corps de ballet and their instructors and choreographers, some of whom are identified in the article. Look for this identification in our Information Scroll Boxes. Enjoy.
